So I'm currently doing a project based on my experiences/memories of Infant School, looking at aspects which evoke memories for everybody. I've been back to my school and helped out in my old class, noticing things that are exactly the same (Cloak cupboards!) and stuff that's a bit different. I think people forget how important the first few years of education are; learning to read, write, count but also to make friends, learn to share, to work in groups and to have some independance away from home. Without learning all these important things, where would we all be now?
These are just a couple of initial illustrations I've done some far but there will be more to follow soon!!!
What is also VERY EXCITING is that this work, and the amazing work of some of my peers at UCA, will be in an Exhibition called "48 Ours". It's on at the Fold Gallery in London the 9th and 10th of June so I recommend you take a look!!! See my links for the website!
